By using RentEvent, creating an account, submitting a booking request, sending messages, creating listings, or using our planning tools, you agree to the collection and use of information described in this Privacy Policy.

  • Monitor safety, prevent fraud, enforce policies, and protect users.
  • Improve the platform, test features, and understand marketplace activity.

4. Role-Based Visibility

RentEvent uses role-based visibility so different users see different information based on their account type and relationship to a booking or event.

  • Customers see customer-facing planning, listings, booking request, and communication information.
  • Vendors see vendor-facing listing, request, payout, platform fee, subscription, and customer communication information relevant to their business.
  • Event planners may see client event details, vendor sourcing details, submitted requests, and planning information relevant to their role.
  • Admins may access marketplace data needed to operate, moderate, support, troubleshoot, secure, and improve RentEvent.

Vendor tools, vendor fees, vendor subscriptions, and payout information are not intended to be customer-facing. Customer-only planning and payment details are not intended to be vendor-facing unless connected to a booking, request, or support issue.

5. Messaging and Booking Requests

RentEvent may store conversations, booking requests, request responses, message content, timestamps, unread status, participant IDs, sender roles, and related event or listing references.

Messages may be used to help users coordinate event details, support disputes, investigate reports, provide safety support, troubleshoot platform issues, and enforce platform rules. Users should avoid sending sensitive personal information through messages unless necessary for the booking.

6. Payments and Third-Party Processors

RentEvent may use third-party payment processors, such as Stripe, to process payments, subscriptions, customer fees, vendor platform fees, payouts, invoices, refunds, or billing portal access.

Payment processors may collect and process payment information under their own privacy policies and terms. RentEvent may store payment status, subscription tier, billing references, payout references, and transaction metadata, but we do not intend to store full credit card numbers on our own servers.

7. Firebase, Hosting, and Technical Services

RentEvent may use services such as Firebase, Google Cloud, GitHub Pages, Stripe, email providers, analytics tools, or other technical vendors to host the platform, store records, authenticate users, send notifications, process payments, and keep the app running.

These service providers may process information only as needed to provide their services to RentEvent, subject to their own terms, policies, and security practices.

8. Safety, Reports, and Verification

RentEvent may collect and review information related to safety reports, account concerns, vendor verification, suspicious activity, fraud prevention, prohibited listings, disputes, or platform misuse.

Vendor verification information may include business names, tax or business identifiers, insurance details, licensing details, contact information, or other documentation. Verification does not guarantee a vendor’s performance, safety, legality, insurance coverage, or suitability for a particular event.

9. How We Share Information

We may share information as needed to operate the platform, complete marketplace interactions, comply with law, protect users, and support the services.

  • With vendors when a customer or planner submits a request or communicates about a potential booking.
  • With customers or planners when a vendor responds to a request or message.
  • With service providers that host, secure, analyze, or process parts of the platform.
  • With payment processors when payments, subscriptions, billing, or payouts are connected.
  • With legal, safety, or law enforcement entities when required or appropriate under applicable law.
  • With admins, support, or moderation users when necessary to operate, investigate, or improve the platform.

We do not intend to sell personal information in the ordinary sense. If this changes, RentEvent should update this policy and provide any legally required choices.

10. Cookies, Analytics, and Device Information

RentEvent may collect technical information such as browser type, device type, pages visited, links clicked, general location, timestamps, referral information, and diagnostic logs.

This information may be used to keep users signed in, improve the platform, debug errors, understand usage, prevent abuse, and measure marketplace performance.

11. Data Retention

We keep information as long as needed to provide RentEvent, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, prevent fraud, maintain business records, support tax or accounting needs, and protect users.

Some information may remain after account deactivation or deletion requests if it is connected to completed transactions, safety issues, disputes, fraud prevention, legal obligations, backups, or legitimate business records.

12. Account Choices and Deletion Requests

Users may update certain profile and account details through account settings. Users may also request account deactivation or permanent deletion review.

Deletion requests may not immediately remove all records. RentEvent may retain certain information where needed for safety, legal compliance, tax records, dispute resolution, fraud prevention, completed bookings, or platform integrity.

13. Security

RentEvent uses reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information. However, no online platform, database, transmission, or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Users are responsible for maintaining secure account credentials and should contact support if they believe their account has been accessed without permission.

14. Children’s Privacy

RentEvent is intended for adults and businesses using the platform for event planning, vendor services, and marketplace activity. RentEvent is not intended for children to create accounts or submit personal information.

15. State and Regional Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or request information about certain personal data. RentEvent will respond to valid requests as required by applicable law.
