Community Guidelines
RentEvent is built to help customers, vendors, and planners coordinate events with trust, professionalism, and clear communication.
Customers, vendors, planners, and account users are expected to follow these guidelines when using RentEvent listings, messages, booking tools, reviews, reports, and planning features.

1. Be Respectful and Professional
RentEvent users should communicate in a respectful, honest, and professional way. Event planning can involve stress, timelines, budgets, and many details, so clear and kind communication matters.
- No harassment, threats, intimidation, bullying, hate speech, or abusive language.
- No discriminatory comments or conduct based on race, color, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, age, national origin, marital status, pregnancy, military status, or any other protected status.
- No sexually explicit, graphic, violent, or inappropriate messages.
- No repeated unwanted contact after someone has asked you to stop.
- Keep conversations related to the event, booking, vendor service, or planning need.
2. Keep Communication on RentEvent
Booking-related communication should stay inside RentEvent so event details, questions, agreements, payment history, and support records stay connected to the booking.
- Do not share phone numbers, email addresses, social media handles, outside links, or requests to move the conversation off RentEvent through RentEvent messages.
- Do not pressure another user to call, text, email, DM, or contact you outside the platform.
- Do not try to bypass message protections by spacing out numbers, spelling out emails, or disguising outside contact details.
- Use RentEvent reporting tools if someone asks you to go off-platform or makes you uncomfortable.
3. Keep Payments and Booking Records Protected
When RentEvent payment tools are available, booking-related payments, deposits, balances, and payment questions should stay inside RentEvent unless RentEvent clearly provides another approved option.
- No requests to pay by Venmo, Cash App, Zelle, PayPal, direct invoice, wire transfer, or another outside payment method through RentEvent messages.
- No pressure tactics, rushed payment demands, or attempts to avoid documented booking records.
- No collecting leads on RentEvent and then moving the booking off-platform to avoid fees, support records, or platform protections.
- No false claims about payment status, refunds, deposits, cancellation fees, or chargebacks.
4. Be Honest in Listings, Profiles, and Requests
RentEvent depends on accurate information. Users may not mislead others about services, pricing, availability, identity, business status, qualifications, or event needs.
5. No Scams, Fraud, or Platform Abuse
Users may not use RentEvent to deceive, exploit, spam, scrape, manipulate, or harm other users or the marketplace.
- No fake listings, fake businesses, fake bookings, fake reviews, or fake support claims.
- No phishing, suspicious links, malware, password requests, or attempts to access another user’s account.
- No spam, mass messaging, duplicate listings, bot activity, scraping, or automated misuse.
- No attempts to manipulate search results, reviews, availability, pricing, or platform tools.
- No using RentEvent to collect personal information unrelated to a legitimate booking.
6. Vendor Professional Standards
Vendors are independent businesses or professionals and are responsible for the services they offer, including staffing, equipment, supplies, safety practices, licenses, insurance, permits, and legal compliance.
- Only offer services you are qualified and prepared to provide.
- Show up on time and communicate promptly if something changes.
- Honor agreed service details, pricing, cancellation terms, and booking expectations.
- Follow applicable laws, venue rules, fire codes, food safety rules, alcohol rules, pool safety rules, transportation requirements, and local regulations.
- Do not misrepresent experience, availability, insurance, licensing, certifications, staff, equipment, or service limits.
7. Transportation Must Be Professional Event Transportation
RentEvent is not a rideshare platform. Transportation categories are for professional event logistics providers, not random individual ride offers or gig-driver style listings.
- Allowed examples include licensed and insured shuttle companies, party bus companies, limo or chauffeur companies, valet and parking companies, venue transportation providers, and professional guest transportation providers.
- Transportation vendors should comply with applicable licensing, insurance, driver, vehicle, safety, and local legal requirements.
- Do not list individual on-demand rides, casual personal driving, or services that function like a rideshare replacement.
8. Safety-Sensitive Services Must Be Responsible
Services involving safety, staffing, water, alcohol, transportation, security, guest access, parking, setup, or cleanup should be handled with extra care.
- Lifeguards, security, off-duty officers, valet teams, bartenders, servers, setup crews, cleanup crews, drivers, and shuttle providers should be qualified for the job they accept.
- Users should confirm staffing levels, certifications, licensing, insurance, venue rules, and safety expectations when appropriate.
- No reckless instructions, knowingly unsafe services, or services that violate laws, venue rules, or public safety requirements.
9. Prohibited Services and Content
Users may not use RentEvent to post, request, coordinate, promote, or sell unlawful, unsafe, abusive, misleading, or prohibited services or content.
- No illegal substances, stolen goods, counterfeit goods, unlawful weapons, or prohibited services.
- No adult sexual services, exploitative content, or inappropriate sexual conduct.
- No dangerous instructions, reckless safety advice, or services likely to cause harm.
- No hate, harassment, threats, stalking, intimidation, or violent content.
- No content that violates another person’s privacy, intellectual property, or legal rights.
10. Reviews, Reports, and Marketplace Integrity
Reviews and reports should be honest, relevant, and based on real experiences. They should help other users understand what happened, not be used to threaten or manipulate someone.
- No fake reviews, paid reviews, review swapping, or review manipulation.
- No threats to leave a bad review unless someone gives a discount, refund, payment, or special treatment.
- No false reports or retaliatory reports.
- Do report scams, unsafe conduct, harassment, no-shows, misleading listings, payment concerns, or policy violations.
11. Account Actions
RentEvent may review activity and take action when guidelines, safety expectations, or platform rules appear to be violated.
- RentEvent may warn users, remove content, hide listings, limit features, restrict messaging, pause payouts, review bookings, suspend accounts, or remove accounts.
- RentEvent may preserve records and review messages, listings, booking details, payment records, reports, and account history when needed for safety, support, dispute, fraud, or policy purposes.
- Serious or repeated violations may result in permanent removal from RentEvent.
If someone pressures you to go off-platform, sends suspicious payment requests, misrepresents a service, harasses you, or creates an unsafe situation, report it to RentEvent.
